Biotin Information:
Biotin, vitamin B7, and also known as Vitamin H, is a water-soluble vitamin found naturally in a variety of foods. Biotin is also part of the B-Complex family. It plays an important role in the metabolic process, by assisting enzymes to break down carbohydrates, proteins and fats in the food we consume. Which is then converted into energy for our bodies to use. Biotin helps to support healthy cell growth and the creation of amino acids. Amino acids play a vital role in building up proteins and cell strength, which has a positive effect on repairing and maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails. Biotin is also used to help regulate signals sent between cells in the body, it’s a vital vitamin and one we can get through a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Also, biotin can be produced naturally in the bowel in very small amounts. However, many individuals do not produce enough biotin, which the body requires or consume enough foods rich in vitamin B7, this is where vitamin injections play an important role.
